MDGs Background
The document is part of a number of pre-conference documents developed for the participants of the Tunza International Conference 2005. The document orients youth on the MDGs and what is expected after the successful achievement of these goals. It also provides information about the some of the important national and international strategies- Decade for Sustainable Development (DESD), Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), Education for All (EFA) and United National Literacy Decade (UNLD). It highlights the opportunities that DESD provides youth and orients to the current statues of the MDGs in a few countries.
MDG Youth Action Cases Papers by Youth
The case studies document was developed as another pre-conference document for the participants of the Tunza International Youth Conference 2005. The Conference oriented youth to the MDGs and their roles. The case study document was created by young people to share ideas to undertake “action” or link up with movement already happening in their respective countries.

Children of the Monsoon
"Children of the Monsoon: State of the Environment 2002," is a colourful collection of stories written by youth from South Asia. The stories are written according to how youth at that time perceived the environment and the development issues. Stories and poems express the concern that youth have for polluted air, congested cities and principles and culture and so on. The publication was created by UNEP in collaboration with South Asia Co-operative Environment Programme (SACEP), and Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD) and Development Alternatives

South Asian Regional Initiative (SARI)/ Energy.
A USAID supported initiative, SARI/ Energy, a small grants project helped SAYEN to involve youth in water conservation for energy conservation. The initiative was undertaken by SAYEN members in India and Sri Lanka. Case examples from the two countries were documented and published as a Best Practices Document.

Internship Modules
The Internship Modules have been created as a 3 part series. Volume 1, covers the subject of Sustainable Development. Volume 2, gives the reader an insight into the various kinds of Field Methods that can be used in projects and community work. The third volume is based on the theme of the Internship, which for the year 2006-07 was Disaster Management, this volume covers the basic ground of the subject and also delves into the aspect of Learning, Myths and types of approaches to study a disaster.
